Motion: ( S. Webber / P. Ames ) Motion to reappoint Judy Brennen as a full member of the Commission. Discussion: It was noted that a previously interested candidate is no longer available due to scheduling conflicts.
Vote: (5-0-1) The motion carried. (Ms. Brennen abstained)
Ms. Brennen agreed to be sworn in by the Town Clerk and stated she would remain active as a full or alternate member.
4. Recreation Commission - Update to Re creation Field Use Fees
Public Hearing held April 22nd at LRC
Fee Regulations:
Fees are assessed per the outlined categories.
Full payment is due within 30 days of the invoice.
No refunds unless the Commission cancels the reservation.
Additional fees apply for damages to facilities or fields.
The Commission may review or waive fees at its discretion.
The Commission agreed that payment timelines are already addressed under regulation #2, and the fees cover the whole day.

Voting on the Officers of the Board to include a Chair and Vice Chair to serve one-year terms. A Chair and Vice Chair may serve more than one consecutive term in these positions but no more than two.
Proposed Change:
The Board of Selectmen shall annually elect from among its members a Chair and a Vice Chair, each to serve a term of one year. Individuals may serve in the same officer position for up to two consecutive terms. Additional consecutive terms may be permitted if approved by a unanimous vote of the full Board. The Chair and Vice Chair shall continue to serve in their respective roles until successors are elected by a majority vote of the Board.

Hudson Memorial Post 5791 and its Auxiliary will be hosting our annual Loyalty Day/Scholastic Awards ceremony on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7pm. We plan to honor citizens, students, educators, public servants and
others who have made significant contributions to the well-being of our community. We invite you and your guest(s) to attend this ceremony as 15 members of the Litchfield Fire Department will be recognized that evening. light refreshments with a social time from 6:30-7:00pm and the awards ceremony begins at 7:00pm. Although the event is open to the public, for planning purposes I ask you to RSVP by April 30, 2025.
Dedication of the Six War Pedestals on Saturday, May 10th at 10:30 am - Veterans Park, 2 Liberty Way. Funded and installed by the Litchfield Veterans Group (see below)
Clean Water Grant ($30,000) to create a Stormwater Asset Management system. Our project is wrapping up and we are now completing the final steps. Kevin, his team, John and I have been working on this project well over a year, with many hours of investigation by the Highway Dept. The two final steps are developing a manual/overview for the system and giving a presentation to the BOS. The Contractors, Road Agent, TA and NHDES are will be at the BOS meeting May 12 at 6:30 pm.
SB297 - Public Hearing held at House committee on Wednesday. Secretary of State has issued an amendment, we are awaiting review. Will remove Town requirement of individual reserve requirement. Unknown - Healthtrust's comments on amendment or insurance going forward. Please see the attached slides.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game “Learn to Fish” event occurred this past weekend. Mr. Menzigian led the session and did an excellent job. The children were engaged and successfully caught fish. The next event is on May 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Darrah. The upcoming Fishing Derby is scheduled for May 17 at Parker Park. Registration is required to participate.
Fisher Cats Game – The Veterans group in Town is organizing a Family Night at the Fisher Cats game on July 19th . See the flyer below or contact Town Hall on how to purchase tickets.

The Annual Memorial Day Parade permit was received from the State of NH. I have sent this to Mr. Calawa, Chief Jones and Chief Nicoll
The Hudson-Litchfield Rotary will hold their annual Recycling Fundraiser on Saturday, May 17th, 8 am to 12 pm. Proceeds support : College and Vocational Scholarships; Local Service Needs; Housing, and Food Pantry Agencies; as well as Other Community Service Projects.
